Learn About Islam and the Bible

Early every morning, billions of people in different parts of the world are wakened by a shout, "Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!...." It is the Call to Prayer.

Who do they pray to?

Does he hear them?

Does he answer?

The call to prayer bids those who believe that "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the prophet of Allah" to come and bow before him, repeating the ritual prayers of the Qur'an. Each morning billions of them obey the call, waking early and going to the mosque or laying out their prayer mats toward Mecca. They do this without fail every morning: in exchange for...what?

Islam is one of the world's largest religions. About two billion people embrace it today as the one way to eternal peace and to God.

While Islam is widely practiced, it is also widely misunderstood. So many people who don't have much contact with Muslims know little about the religion or its unique beliefs and practices. Because Islam is rising more influentially in world news and recent events, and because its following is growing rapidly, we feel it is important for people everywhere to understand what it is and how it is different from all other religions.

In this section, we seek to give you information from a biblical perspective on what Islam is, what the Qur'an teaches, and how it differs from biblical faith.
